Ron has dedicated his career to the world of contact centres. In 2015, he joined Connect Assist, eventually spearheading a Management Buyout (MBO) in 2017. Under his leadership, the company witnessed significant growth, expanding its team from 140 to over 450 employees before being acquired in 2021. Before his tenure at Connect Assist, Ron founded and managed a charity contact centre for 14 years.

He and his teams have won many awards including:

  • Institute of Marketing award winner

  • IOF (Institute of Fundraising) innovation award

  • Finalist for IOF Partner of the Year

  • Welsh Contact Centre gold award for Best Inclusion Strategy

  • European Contact Centre & Customer Service Association bronze award for Best Innovation in Customer Service

  • UK Contact Centre Manager of the year

  • Silver at the Welsh Contact Centre awards for Best Advice Line / Helpline

In addition to his notable professional achievements, Ron has taken on significant industry roles beyond his primary responsibilities, including:

  • Serving as the Deputy Chair of the Wales and South West Direct

  • Marketing Association Council.

  • Participating as a Member of the Save the Children Steering Committee.

  • Holding a position on the UK Board of the International Newspaper Marketing Association (INMA).
    Acting as an Ambassador for the DMA.

  • Co-sponsoring the MaxWomen networking group.

Last year, showcasing a deep commitment to inclusivity, Ron introduced 'Sign Assist', a helpline dedicated to the deaf community. Uniquely staffed by deaf advisors, this initiative empowers the community by offering assistance in their native sign language.
